Professional Profile

Claire joined Lewis Hymanson Small in 2007 as an Associate. After obtaining her Law degree she studied for and completed her Legal Practise Course, both at Manchester Metropolitan University. She the trained with Rowe Cohen Solicitors before qualifying as a Solicitor in 2004 where she remained until Lewis Hymanson Small was set up.

Claire's expertise is in the property field; real estate finance advising banks and funders in connection with commercial and residential investment and development. Claire is the Partner in charge of our Property Department. She acts on behalf of lending institutions ensuring that their security is adequately protected. As well as acting for banks and lenders, Claire's spectrum of work also covers acting for corporate and public sector clients in the acquisition, disposal, refinancing and letting of commercial property and residential property. On the residential side of things Claire is the recommended solicitors for many Developers and their various sites throughout the Country acting for their respective buyers. She is also one of the recommended Solicitors for Plumlife the Government Homebuy Agent based in Manchester and acts for many of their clients in connection with the various schemes.

As from the 10th October 2011, LHS are now members of the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme - the mark of excellence for the home buying process. Head of Residential Property, Claire says - "I am very proud that the department has obtained the CQS Quality Mark as this reinforces the standards that we already strived to achieve for each and every client."

Personal Profile

Married in 2008, Claire enjoys dancing and has taken part in amateur musicals since the age of 16. Her most enjoyable dancing experience was taking part in the musical 'Copacabana!' which she has now taken part in twice! She recently won a Manchester Musical Award for Best Choreography for the Musical "Footloose" whilst acting as Assistant Choreographer.
